It all starts up again, never really ended, but here it is, covid champions liga.

Looks like a lot of fans in Kiev, no covid in Ukrania as i recall.

    By a lot, I guess 20-30%?

Ronaldo has the Covid????? No Way!unpossible!

Juve looking to score early, but still 0-0.

I say this at the start of every UCL, but here goes again:

I think PSG will win it this year.

Chiellini injured, probably from kicking someone, what a shame he has to leave so early in the match (17mins). It can only improve the level of this match, prolly a blessing for Juve.

Sounds like there are more fans at the Zenit game, more interesting game of the two right now.

and I stuck with it and it ended a 0-0 tactical masterclass, well not really a masterclass. Both teams have a good chance of progressing far into the Europaliga. Lack of fans was noticeable compared to the early games in Ukrania and Russia. How is it the Limeys are even behind Eastern Europe and USSR when it comes to the Covid?
Barca will win the Champions liga anyhow.
Honestly, I like Brugges, they brought a raw, fresh style to the UCL.
Big match today is Bayern v Atletico, winner is essentially assured the UCL title.

No fans at the Bernebau, in fact no game there either as they appear to be playing in a smaller stadium. Fans in Salzburg though, but Lokomotiv lead 1-0, Russian teams will benefit from covid as they can now take steroids and whatever and no one is checking anymore.
Where is this Hungarian new hearthrob kid for RB?

    Lack of Ramos factor.
The beauty of DAZN is you can watch any game live, but it is the downfall as well, as you get dragged into channel switching and miss goals all the time.

see, that is what I mean, switched over to the other game and missed a goal by the new teen hearthrob! Though, did see Shak score another one, so now 0-3. Real will/are miss Ramos more than Ronaldo. It will be interesting to see if mighty Real come back, but i will switch to the Salzburg game and miss it.

That was a neat third goal. I was toying with the idea of having a Middle Eastern Peaceniks entry in Use-the-Net...(Salah captain may be enough to avoid embarrassment...

2-2 and they arer going to blow that now,

Watching the most hated team in football host Red Bull Leipzig, 1-0 t the half for the home team on what looked an offside goal to me. Red Bull seem to have more of the ball and the game is mostly being played in the Manchester half, even Upamecano has made a couple of box to box runs, but they have not really had a good scoring chance.
I will say it again, but Nagelsmann screams like an old woman on the sidelines Istanbul Basaksehir 0 PSG 2

    FT Krasnodar 0 Chelsea 4

    HT Club Brugge 1 Lazio1

    HT Dortmund 0 Zenit 0

HT Ferencvaros 0 Dynamo Kyiv 2

    HT Juventus 0 Barcelona 1

HT Man Utd 1 RB Leipzig 0

    HT Sevilla 0 Rennes 0

I think if your team does not score 5 or more goals in this round, you shoud be eliminated. It would save all the time and travel during the upcoming second wave of the covid. The only interesting game today is PSG vs RB.

The Trogs with a strong start to the game. Bruno Fernandes excellent first time shot goes directly out for a throw in.

Thiis ref really is terrible. I realize French teams always get the calls for them, mostly by bribing the refs, but every corner, throw in, foul is being called against Red Bull. So typical of french teams, that is how they won the World Cup

And this is what happens with bad referees and frenchmen, now any PSG player can go studs up on every challenge with no consequence, while everytime a PSG player is touched and goes down like a diving frenchman, it is called against RB

We went from 15C temps last week, to 15cm snow this week, actually more than 15 cm, ski season should be early this year, assuming we dont go into a lock down, like Alberta. Having said that, Alberta lockdown sounds a bit like our code Orange or Yellow. It seems you can still do everything in Alberta, but have people over at your house.
Week 4 and almost every group is decided or will be decided today
Grp E decided. Chelsea and Sevilla....seems like only yesterday I was in Sevilla, walking around, dining in restaurants, talking to Jebus in the Cathedral on Christmas eve, do they still have tourists visiting?
Grp F decided. Dortmund and Lazio...ah seems like such a long time ago I was watching Lazio at the Olimpico with my future ex wife, while she spent two years studying in Italy and by doing study, I mean doing nothing. OK, OK she read some Umberto Eco books.
Grp G decided. Barca and Juve had this decided 4 weeks ago.
Grp H decided. PSG are guaranteed to go through due to bribes, no possible way they dont advance along with Man U, who next to the french teams are the most corrupt team in football and have already paid for penalty kicks in all the upcoming games.
Grp A decided. Bayern and Madrid through to the ko stage
Grp B decided. Real and Inter already qualified for ko stage, ok maybe not.
Grp C decided. Man City and Porto through to the next round
Grp D decided. Liverpool and either Ajax or Atalanta

Yeah, they really are looking second best so far.

Somehow, 30 mins in and this is the only goal so far in all games.

Inter now in deepdoody, Vidal talks himself into a red card, for a non penalty call, kind of similar to the Real penal given, though not as clear in my opinion.

Yes, Berisha is from Berchtesgaden... they were going on the radio
(Bayern 5) about how Bayern should perhaps look closer to home for
    some of the young talents.

The Hoff does not abide to the current situation, winning 1-0 in a boring match to the Liberals from Czechoslovakia and wearing pink, very un hoff man.

The exciting conclusion of UCL, where everything is already decided except for the one group. Lets just save the time and covid and have the Bayern v Liverpool final, Kloppo will be happy with the fewer games and could look for something else to harp about, or just do music videos with all that spare time.
Only one game of interest today, unless Red Bull loses and then there will be none.
Not even managing a Use the NT team can make this thing marginally interesting. From what I have learned about Use the NT managing, less is more. Like yesterday, did not even watch or do any managing =sort of like a Mourinho type approach - and the genius of picking Thomas Muller 5 weeks ago as captain was enough. I may stick with that approach today, except maybe watch a couple of games. Better than watching the news, Kanada does not even have clean drinking water for its Native population, fiuking amrican like sickening to me.

In an attempt to make round 6 more exciting, UEFA staged a walk out game in the only group that meant anything. In the end it was a Tactical Masterclass by that little screamer guy from Red Bull. I know writers gotta write and pundits gotta pund, but my goodness enough with tactical masterclasses already. Anyone who has played any sort of semi competitive level of football knows, you come out and play fast and quick for the first 20 minutes. I dunno, maybe it is just a Austro-German thing, the blitzkrieg start, but everyone does it and knows it. It would be like saying scoring more goals is a tactic or having a keeper who can catch balls is a tactic.
Anyhow Leipzig do what they do, they play reasonably good football, play quickly, take an early lead and then hang on for dear life and hope they outscore the opponents in the end, which they did. If I do talk of tactics, that Man U tactic of getting at least one Penaltykick in every game they play is a good tactic.
Meanwhile in the other game, they either have no Africans in Roumania or Roumania is the Italy of eastern Europe, which it is, even the languages sound similar.
Like yesterday, we have only one game in one group that means anything, like yesterday it involves a Bundelsiga team, like yesterday that Bundesliga team is going up against a multi Billion dollar giant behemoth team, hopefully like yesterday, the Bundesliga team pulls it off, though like yesterday, that Bundesliga team is a Pretender team-though maybe Leipzig is no longer Pretender?
Honestly, bring on the EuroSuperleague, this Championsleague thing has become tired and boring.
