Interesting draw, can Salzburg challenge the big two? I say they fall short. Bayern and Atleti.

    B:
    Real Madrid
    Shakhtar Donetsk
    Inter
    Gladbach
Pretty deathly group. Conte won't be happy, but neither will his opponents. Real and Inter.
    C:
    Porto
    M. City
    Olympiakos
    Marseille
Marseille from Pot 4 makes this slightly less the Group of Life. City and OM?
    D:
    Liverpool
    Ajax
    Atalanta
    Midtjylland
Group of fun. Liverpool and Atalanta.
    E:
    Sevilla
    Chelsea
    Krasnodar
    Rennes
Balanced group, but not that much quality. Chelsea and Sevilla.
    F:
    Zenit
    Dortmund
    Lazio
    Club Brugge
Dortmund and Club Brugge in a surprise outcome.
    G:
    Juventus
    Barcelona
    Dinamo Kiev
    Ferencv|iros
I'm sure nobody noticed this yet, but this means it's Ronaldo vs. Messi! This looks like the best possible pairing for Juve and Barca (with apparently weak-ish opponents from Pots 3 and 4), but you never know.
    H:
    Paris Saint-Germain
    M. United
    Leipzig
    Basaksehir
Another deathly group. I say PSG and Leipzig.

You really went for some left field picks there!
    Same for me :-)

    B:
    Real Madrid
    Shakhtar Donetsk
    Inter
    Gladbach
Pretty deathly group. Conte won't be happy, but neither will his opponents. Real and Inter.
If the #2 seed was from a bigger league this group would've been delicious. But Shakhtar are no slouches.
    Real and Inter.
    C:
    Porto
    M. City
    Olympiakos
    Marseille
Marseille from Pot 4 makes this slightly less the Group of Life. City and OM?
Marseille have started the season at 2-2-1 in mighty Ligue 1.
    City and Porto.
    D:
    Liverpool
    Ajax
    Atalanta
    Midtjylland
    LFC and Atalanta (not Georgia)
Group of fun. Liverpool and Atalanta.
    E:
    Sevilla
    Chelsea
    Krasnodar
    Rennes
Balanced group, but not that much quality. Chelsea and Sevilla.
    Same.
    F:
    Zenit
    Dortmund
    Lazio
    Club Brugge
Dortmund and Club Brugge in a surprise outcome.

No. Their attack is worse than last year, and their defence is just as bad.
I shudder to think of Lewandowski and Su|irez against Ramalho/W||ber.
But it's good to see them establish themselves in the CL.
I say they fall short. Bayern and Atleti.
Atl|-tico might even shithouse their way to the group win.
OTOH Lokomotiv finished last in their CL group in the last two years (and
still keep getting qualified directly, that's the problem with the system) Atl|-tico

Very easy for Man City, as usual. Maybe that's the problem, they never meet anybody worthwhile until the latter stages of the tournament?

Nice Europa League group. Sevilla have to finish in third!
BTW I never see this mentioned when there's talk of billionaires' playthings, but Rennes are owned by one of the richest guys in the world, and he's married to Salma Hayek, too.

Inter and Lazio were the last two teams left in the Pot 3 draw. At
that point they stopped drawing and just put them in group B and F. I
don't get that - either team should be able to go into either group.

Atlotico might even shithouse their way to the group win.

I could have done without them.

BTW I never see this mentioned when there's talk of billionaires' playthings, but Rennes are owned by one of the richest guys in the world, and he's married

    From his wiki page:
He dated supermodel Linda Evangelista from September 2005 to January
2006. They had a son together, Augustin James Evangelista (b. October 2006).

In April 2006, he started dating the actress Salma Hayek.

No, there's also something called "TV pairings": Inter was paired with Juve, so, given Juve was in the bottom half of the draw (Group G), Inter had to be in the top half.
