He has. I'm not sure it's a great endorsement of Serie A that the two best players in the league so far are a 35-year old and a 38-year old.

Perhaps the most impressive thing is that less than three years ago he tore his cruciate ligaments
in the Europa League against Anderlecht. At that age that's usually equivalent with hanging up your
boots.
