  • Blatter and Platini innocent?

    They've both been acquitted by the court. Does this mean they're innocent?

    Any idea what the implications of this are?

    No. Courts do not prove innocence. They show a person is not guilty based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor. One of they even quoted after as saying something to the effect of not being innocence their entire life but in this case I am. They could technically be guilty just not beyond a preponderance of the evidence.
    Implications none really other than they just get to live out their lives with money.

    John Gotti was acquitted several times too.

    Don't know about Platini but Blatter was as bent as a nine bob note and the disputed godfather of the FIFA crime family.

    No. Courts do not prove innocence.


    Because they don't need to. At least not in countries where one is
    assumed innocent until proven guilty. Where were they tried/appealed etc ?
