  • 2022 CONCACAF W Championship thread (R)

    I don't know why they've changed the name from CONCACAF Women's Championship to CONCACAF W Championship.

    Anyway, it's being played in Mexico, July 4-18.

    The World Champions, USA, and the Olympic Champions, Canada are probably the favourites to reach the Final.

    Will I, as a USA fan, retain my title as a Champion of North America?

    Mexico did not play well at all and look lost on the field. Too much pressure being the hosts? Canada did not look good against Panama. Can Costa Rica steal one?

    Basically the US doesn't have to lose to stay at the top spot. Canada and Costa Rica are playing for who plays the USA first in the next round.

    Why are they using this to decide who qualifies for the Olympics? They usually have a separate tournament for that don't they?
