• U17 EM R

Everyone thinks that football is over for the season, but there is lots of football. Everything from the U-17 Euros, to the Finalissima between Italia and Argentina, that will finally decide if South America or Europe is the best footballing continent of all time.
Outside of that, there is the UEFA Nations Liga and the Concacaf Nations Liga starting next week. The ongoing Copas in South America, I think they play through the Winter ( or summer depending if you are standing on your head or feet). Boca need to beat Deportivo Cali to advance or hope Always Ready is ready to beat Corinthians by a few goals-or maybe they use head to head results as tie breakers?
As for the U 17 EM, I think we are in the quarter finals and the first match is between Germany v France. 1-1 at the halftime. France started strongly and should have had a few goals, but it seems Germany is getting into it more as the game goes on.
Dutch play Italy later today, I think Netherlands are favourites for this cup, Portugal favourties as well

    1-1 FT
Goes directly to the dreaded-or loved- Penals.

France missed their first two Penals, but still manage to win after 5 kicks. Back in my day, Germany never lost Penal shootouts.

Don't forget that there are still some World Cup Qualifiers to come
    (including the remaining UEFA spot)

The relegations for Kreisliga in Bayern haven't even started yet! :-)

It was a pleasure to watch a couple of 6th Div playoffs right before
the CL Final, to appreciate, e.g., Modric's skill!

Next Saturday is the return match for the village next to me,
Hallbergmoos, to win their tie and remain in the 5th Div

Meanwhile in England, the much vaunted "most valuable game" was
played yesterday, and we have Forest back in the Premiership after
    22 years!

    ciao, Bruce
ps meanwhile, the MLS is in full swing
