Well, I thought I was down and out a while ago, but a decent last few weeks and the contemporaneous quasi-collapse of Binder's PukkiMonster, and I might have a chance? And who is Asim Rana?

As for the Serie A Rejects, it's the first season above the 2000 point mark, but it probably won't be enough to even finish in the top 2 million. And with Ronaldo and Salah not getting any younger, there may never have been a better chance.

In the Head to Head League, after dominating the regular season, my two teams fell in the semis to MH's Dilettanti and Keith's High Hopes. Playoffs suck.

A friend of mine. He pipped the PukkiMonster to the title on the final day of the season.
I was basically the Leicester of the league. In the top 2-3 spots for most of the season, fell to 6th place on the final day of the season. Those constant Covid reschedules really messed me up; missed updating the team in maybe a half dozen match weeks (excuses, I know).
It seems every season 1 or 2 players just put up crazy numbers towards the end and carry someone to the title. Last season it was Fernandes and Greenwood, this year it was the Spurs frontmen.

Keith Powell (High Hopes) saved his free hit until the last day, and
used it to great effect, winning the final of the head to head RSS
    league 73-64. Congrats, Keith.

I found all the covid cancellations and complications hard to deal with
as well. Not really much of an excuse for my unrestricted team
(MHdilettanti) , but at times limiting for the all non-UEFA team. Not
many defenders who are great point getters and don't come from UEFA
(Matip was the best, followed by Gabriel -both good value for the price,
but in weeks where one had no game or was out of the lineup, pickings
were slim). Not a lot going among the forwards either - Dennis, Jesus
and Richarlison were the top three scorers, and relatively inexpensive -
but you never knew when the first two were going to play.

Midfielders I had an embarrassment of choice - Salah, Man|-, Son, Diaz,
Zaha, Mahrez - but you can't really afford more than 2.5 of those.
