• Liverpool - Man U [R]

    From Al Kamista@24:150/2 to rec.sport.soccer on Tue Apr 19 14:24:15 2022
    Is a R even needed?

4-0 today, 9-0 aggregate for the season.

It was just sad, even if you are a Liverpool fan.

Does the word "Hubris" have any meaning to you at all :-) ?

4-0 today, 9-0 aggregate for the season.

Does that really make up for an inability to get a single win so far
against any of City, Chelsea, and Spurs so far this year - that is 10
points dropped, where even a couple might end up having made a huge
    difference in May.

For a Liverpool fan having lived through 1993-2013, no.

4-0 today, 9-0 aggregate for the season.

A win against Norwich nets you exactly the same number of points as a win against Man City.

As for your question, we 'll have the answer in a month or so.

Now let me ask you a question: Do you think a journey can be as fulfilling as the destination, or even more, or is the destination all that matters in your book?

For sure. But then I support Scotland, Canada, Arminia Bielefeld and so
on so maybe I am a masochist as well.

or even more, or is the destination all that matters in your book?

anyway, I hope the possibility of a quadruple does not stress you too
much over the next few weeks. Which one do you want the most ?
In your place I would fancy the league the most, (number 20, tying the record). But I also would really hate to see Chelsea win another FA cup.

Well, another question in return: You've been playing an incredible season. How much would it hurt if at the end you only had the Carabao Cup to show for it?

    Ciao,

Not at all. It's sheer joy being a Liverpool fan these days, and none of us takes these golden years for granted. It could all disappear very quickly when Klopp leaves in 2-3 years.

If you offered me the league right now at the expense of the CL and FA Cup, I'd take it. I believe most LFC fans would agree with me. We need to get back on the perch with #20.

Disappointing for sure. But better to be there and not make the final hurdle, then to never even be in the conversation. The next month will be thrilling. NYC has a huge LFC fanbase. When we won the CL in 2019 there was mayhem (the good sort) in many neighborhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Not just the final but the rounds leading up to it as well. Incredible memories.
