    FT: 2-2

Very exciting game. City overall had the better chances, they must be mad at themselves for letting the chance of settling matters in the league go to waste,

We'll be treated to at least one more round of this in the FA Cup semi, maybe two?

Indeed. LFC lucky to escape with a point. It could have been out of sight in the first half where Liverpool had its worst defensive half all season.
Interestingly though, the xG was almost even.

Commitment to philosophy, regardless of opposition. The Mourinhos and Simeones of this world will call it foolish, but it takes balls of steel to play such high lines against such quick and terrifying attackers. That's why Guardiola and Klopp get my ultimate respect. Great ambassadors for the game.

I would have to agree. Nice goals, though, both of them.
Still not sold on Thiago, who may have been the weakest link on the day.
Plus a little lucky not to get a second yellow. Fabinho also less than
    his usual competent self.

Yes, Thiago should have been off for his second yellow.

City bossed the midfield, which is surprising because we rarely ever get out-bossed in midfield. Bernardo Silva showed that you don't need muscle when you have sublime technical skills, even in tight spaces. What a player. A clone of David Silva.

No-one likes Thiago... if that's the case, can we have him back please?

No matter what anyone says, we would never have finished 2020 the way we
    did without him.

No, Bayern had a better player in Kimmich, that is why he was left out and free to go, Bayern did not want him. He has good ball skills but bad decision making with the ball, never understood why he was so highly regarded and he is a bit of dirty, cheap shot artist as well.

That is not true. He left because he wanted to leave and Bayern cashed in because he had only 1 year left on his contract.

It's the same reason Alaba left a year later, and Lewandowski might leave this summer, i.e. players get bored of Bundesliga's one team dominance and want a new challenge.

I actually wonder if he doesn't really want to break Gerd Mueller's
career goal record in the Bundesliga. If he stays 2 more years he
might get it without a third. He's on 310 and needs 365 to equal it.
