Who are the best women's football teams ever?
The most obvious candidates seem to be Lyon's current team, if last season was a blip and not the end of an era; or Lyon 2016-20 if it is the end of an era.
Looking at past European Champions, Wolfsburg were European Champions 2 years in a row 2013-14, Umea IK were too in 2003-2004; and FFC Frankfurt were Champions twice in 3 years in 2006 and 2008. Turbine Potsdam were champions twice in 6 years, 2005-2010.
In South America, S|uo Jos|- seem to be the outstanding team, having been Champions of South America 3 times in 4 years 2011-14.
Then there's teams from the NWSL, who are even harder to judge as they've got no continental title to play for.
    What do you think?
Let's see if we can come up with a top 5.

Surely there's more interest in women's football among rssers than this? Is nobody even going to nominate Lyon?

Girlie, you might want to address directly Binder Dundat, the womanizer par excellence. He follows closely (!) women hockey, women basketball, women multi-martial arts, and, last but not least, women football. No need in this case to specify women soccer. There is, and never will be, women American-football.
Just my 2-cent opinion regards your inquiry. The best-ever women football team is Moskow Fuquers.

    in Europe no doubt.
But what about United States ? Football is THE women sport. No
American teams better than Lyon ?

(Last year, Lyon has been eliminated in Champion's League
because half of the team was positive to COVID-19, if I
    remember well).

The best USian team seems to be North Carolina Courage 2017-19; 3 consecutive NWSL shields (which is a better indicator of who the best team in the country is than a play-off between the top 4 in the standings anyway), 2 consecutive NWSL Championships, and they were also basically the same team as Western New York Flash, who were Champions of the USA in 2016.
I think that record is beaten by 5 consecutive Champions Leagues. I think 2 Champions Leagues in 2 or 3 years beats it too. Maybe North Carolina Courage 5th, behind Umea IK, Wolfsburg and FFC Frankfurt?

To be honnest, that depends of the opponents. If in Europe, all
the teams except one are week, the goo team can win 25
champions league in a row while if in USA all teams ar good, it
will be difficult for one team to win only 3 or 4 titles
    consecutively.

True, I think there are quite a few good teams in Europe though.

South American women's football seems to be weak though, which is why I didn't mention Sao Jose in the "top 5".
