Unlikely. I don't see anybody rushing to stop Russia with force.

I'm looking at the rush starting from the other direction.

Let's put it this way: Why WOULDN'T Putin, especially if he forged an alliance with Xi, go for the entire European continent in retaliation for sanctions, what have you, at the barest of minimum?

Mike (AND gamble that about 1/3 - 40% of Americans will support him, creating HOT Civil War if Biden tries to stop him?)

Good! Now to Russia out of UEFA in full until they recant!

It does not serve Xi or China's interests to help plunge Europe into WW3 (with nukes this time around).
Besides, almost the entire former Soviet bloc is already part of NATO, so I don't think Putin can afford a direct confrontation with them, unlike Ukraine, who has to fight on its own. The two biggest thorns in Putin's backside are probably Lativia and Estonia, because both share a border with Russia and are already part of NATO. He didn't want Ukraine to become the third one.

Attacking NATO aligned countries is way different from taking on an
independent nation that stands [pretty much] alone... so it's not very
    likely.

If it did happen, then where the Champions League Final is being held
would be the least of our worries!!!

FIFA would have cancelled the game anyway if the situation continued in Ukraine...

In fact Russia will probably find themselves a sporting pariah if their military aggression continues. Nobody will play them in anything then!

Except for Euroleague Basketball, who have confirmed the three Russian teams CSKA Moscow, Unics Kazan and Zenit St Petersburg can continue to compete provided they play matches against non-Russian teams outside of Russia. They can still play the matches amongst each other inside Russia.
A decision that seems completely out of tune with those taken in the Worlds of football, F1 and even the Eurovision Song Contest!

For a while I wondered whether UEFA's tone-deaf dithering regarding the location of the CL final and their ties with
Gazprom would lead to a shift in attitude regarding the SuperLeague, especially in England, but here we see a league
*owned* by the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona actually doing much worse.

    Ciao,

So things have moved on - Euroleague has now suspended the Russian clubs and "should the situation [with regards to the war in Ukraine] not evolve in a favorable way" matches involving Russian teams will be annulled. Of course, you could argue that the EU ban on Russian flights had already effectively prevented the Russian clubs from competing in any event.
FIFA and UEFA have also today suspended Russian clubs and the Russian national team. There will be no Russian team at the 2022 World Cup playing under the guise of "Russian Football Union". It seems the sporting World is uniting in condemning Russia's attack on Ukraine.
