Salzburg denied at least 10 clear penalty kick calls, playing the whole game in the Bayern half, Bayern kick and maim thugs trying to injure every Casino player, yet only 1-0 at the half for Salzburg.

I don't know why Nagelsman persists with playing all 4 of Coman,
Gnabry, Sane and Mnller. It unbalances the team, they get in each
other's way, and you lose the option of putting in fresh firepower in
the second half. That has been the result every time.

It's approaching Guardiola levels of stubbornness.

Inter were impressive. Not in terms of any particularly great football, but being very solid. The 0-2 scoreline was harsh on them.

Salzburg shouda made it 2-0, but instead, Sabitzer comes on and saves Bayern from defeat. Referee was terrible, easily 10 pks not given and at least the whole bayern team should have seen red cards.

    Inter were impressive.

Certainly tenacious and quick to press and close down. Good tackling on
the whole. Liverpool a bit lethargic too, TAA in particular had a lackadaisical game, and Thiago sort of drifted in and out of things.
If Inter had been more efficient during the first 20 minutes of the
second half when they were on top, they could easily have won. Bringing
on Keita (surprisingly) and Henderson stabilized things quite a lot, and
of course sub Firmino applied a nice finishing touch.

terms of psychology it's perhaps even better to start at 1-1 in Munich instead of 1-0
and then conceding within the first 20 minutes.
Still, if Adamu had scored into the gaping net, or laid the ball off, instead of hitting Pavard...
But the lad has done well. When Okafor limped off after ten minutes I already feared the
    worst.
I don't know why Nagelsman persists with playing all 4 of Coman,

It appeared to me that insisting on a back three was the bigger problem. All of S|+le, Hernandez, and Pavard struggled with Adeyemi's pace, and if the idea was to create numerical superiority in midfield it clearly didn't work, at least in the first
half. At times it looked like a wonky 3-0-7 formation.

Salzburg did seem to run out of gas, or wings, in the second half, but
still was close to taking the wind.

As you saw in Hoffenheim, yes. Yes it was.

This 7-1 reminds me, in result, not in play, of a CL match against
Basel, that I attended 10 years ago today. Basel had won the first leg
1-0, and in the liga, Bayern was in the process of throwing away a
solid lead to Klopp's Dortmund. The result was a very nervous
    atmosphere.

Which made the 7-0 result all the more enjoyable.
