open-ended (ie, until rescinded). I just saw Belgium is doing it from
26 Dec as well. So no matches for the foreseeable future for me.
Next match is 7 Jan against Gladbach, but that's covered by this. The amateurs went into Winter break early, and I guess they will stay
there for a while. I don't know about the DFB, but home matches are certainly covered by this as it is a national regulation.

ciao, Bruce
The only safeguard (other than a decent uptake of the booster jab I suppose) is fans need to show a "Covid passport" (app on smartphone) confirming either double vaccinated status, a negative PCR or lateral flow test in the last 48 hours, or a positive PCR test in the last six months combined with the necessary self-isolation period having ended. Personally I'm not that re-assured that Covid positive people won't be slipping through the turnstiles with those particular criteria, but you pay your money and you take your choice.
What the above can't safeguard against is so many of the players catching Covid that matches have to be postponed - so far 21 Boxing Day Football League matches have been postponed. Of the Premier League Boxing Day games, Liverpool - Leeds and Wolves -Watford have already been announced as being postponed due to Covid.
RMBurnley - Everton now postponed too.
