The thing is CA appointed him captain in 2018 as a mr clean to change
the image of oz cricket already knowing that this had happened a year earlier.
Perhaps they told Paine at the time, if this comes out you'll have to go,
but i spect the guys that appointed him are no longer in charge.
Will he stay as keeper? Hes not the best in oz, surely they have
a good selection to choose from, Carey, Pierson, Inglis, someone
else, Wade?

There are people who've done better with the bat at first class level but Paine's 3rd in the list of Australian test keepers by average (under a run behind Haddin) and his last 2 series averages were 40.8 and 38.25
