• Hayden Kerr looks to be worth watching

    From Hamish Laws@24:150/2 to rec.sport.cricket on Tue Nov 23 05:42:31 2021
Made 62* and 11* on debut for NSW in the shield and took 3-72 for the match

I saw a fair bit of his first innings batting and it looked good, got into good positions, timed the ball nicely.

Too early to say for sure what he'll do but I hope he'll get an opportunity to bat further up the order and cement a spot.

I didn't see a lot of his bowling, it didn't look world beating but it also didn't look out of a place at first class level.

So you're pimping a Poo? Alvey's going to blow a gasket or two.

Don't be silly Mikey. I'm much better behaved now. My 'personal trainers'
will be administering a medium beating and a car torching to Mr Laws
    shortly.

In other exciting news from CA... It's taking a *five* person/creature
panel to pick Pat Cummins as the new Test captain. I wonder if there's a fortune teller amongst them.

Hang on! Maybe they won't pick Cummins. Maybe they'll invoke the 'Crisis Exemption Excuse' that saw Simpson recalled. Micheal Clarkes' profile has
gone pretty low since he resumed rooting his 'personal assistant', he could
use a boost. Bargearse? Without doubt Australia's finest ever captain at flogging air conditioners. And of course that Sgt ("I zee nuthink") Schultz
of captains, SPD Smith. So no cause for panic, there plenty of options.

in that case its got to be Neville as keeper and captain, straight swap for timbo, if hes still playing, i believe he is ;)

From whom does this doubtless well-informed tip emanate? Is it our old
    friend "Sources"?

I didn't see a lot of his bowling, it didn't look world beating but it also didn't look out of a place at first class level.

Had a brief squizz at him batting yesterday. Didn't impress. He bats almost identically to Jack Edwards. This is not a good thing. Shuffle'n'slap.

Meanwhile over at Adullaide... The Qld LHO Matt Kuhnemann I touted earlier
in the season [He said shamelessly] has run amok again with 4/25 off 10, including Head & Carey. Pitch was a tad helpful, but it was though the air
that he was doing the damage. Could we see Qld doing the unheard of later
in the season by playing two spinners when Sweppo returns? Also, a great
first day knock (110) by Loosebuschange on a dangerous pitch (Karen Rolton Oval). The dreaded Bryce Street also got a good 87. Unfortunately.

Most of the 100 came on day 2.
