It will be interesting to see how Piastri performs against Norris. LetrCOs
hope he doesnrCOt turn out to be another Stoffel Vandoorne, of whom much was expected but who ultimately disappointed.

Stoffel's junior record was nowhere near as impressive as Oscars though. Stoffel didn't so F3 / GP3
and won GP2 on his second try.

Oscar won both championships in his rookie years back to back beating some pretty damn good
drivers. Oscar was also a couple of years younger than Stoffel was when he won the F2 championship.

I think it'll be a close-run thing between Lando and Oscar once Oscar's up to speed in the F1 car
(though I expect Lando to just edge it - for the first few years).

    From his Wikipedia page:

"With his (F2) championship, Piastri ... became just the fifth driver after Hamilton, H|+lkenberg,
Leclerc and Russell to win the GP3/F3 title, and then the GP2/F2 title the following year, and the
first driver (ever) to win three consecutive F1 feeder series' championships, with his 2019 Formula
    Renault Eurocup title."

2nd on his first try and absolutely dominated the next season... and
not in a dominant team that Prema was in F3 2020 when Piastri sneaked
    the win.

Jeez I fucked that up. Edited it to nonsense. I don't even know what I was saying now.

2nd on his first try and absolutely dominated the next season... and

So he won the championship with twice the experience at that level then.

not in a dominant team that Prema was in F3 2020 when Piastri sneaked
    the win.

Maybe Prema was so dominant then because of their drivers - at least in part?

    "nowhere near as impressive"???

No, not as impressive as Piastri's record of 2019 Formula Renault champion, 2020 F3 Champion and
2021 F2 champion. Nobody else has done that, win the three feeder championships in three
    consecutive seasons.

That's taking two big steps up in machinery year on year and winning at the first try. You do see
    the difference?

Stoffel's IS leading the Formula E this year with two races to go but it's his third year in the
    series...

Jesus Bird, I do appreciate you explaining to me what I'm fucking saying. Mighty big of you. </s>

/I/ thought that what I was saying was Piastri managed to step up to new faster machinery year on
year and win in it. Because of this I think that he's likely to handle the step up to F1 better
than drivers who needed several bites of the cherry in lower orders.

I'll leave you to argue with yourself about that.
