Hamilton, so great that Merc has finally sorted the car; the rest
of the season should be very exciting.

Especially so if and when the Merc isn't the only legal car in the
top 3. I believe F1 has given teams until the French GP before the
floors are to be tested for compliance.
I can't think why it needs to be so long, oh wait maybe I can...

All the cars are currently legal.

That's not what I'm seeing and reading. It's not as though there
isn't form for this sort of thing, remember the floor issues at
Ferrari and the flexi wings at RB in the SV days?
I'm also seeing this morning that there are issues around illegal barge-boards too.
Time and time again, the authorities allow RB and Ferrari to get away
with things and always give decisions in their favour. Whereas with
Merc and/or Lewis it's another matter, remind me again how many
millimetres Lewis's rear wing was in error to get his penalty. Not
given two races to put it right.
From Spa back in the Mclaren days the authorities will assist any
team especially Ferrari and Red Bull to beat Lewis and now Merc.
They'll change the rules to damage low rake cars and change the rules
during a GP and even rig the entire championship just last year. Oh
and if Merc have a 'within the rules idea' like their steering
system, it gets banned as soon as they can come up with an excuse to
do so.
Perhaps you don't remember MV being allowed to make no attempt to
stay on the track through bends in order to defend from Lewis.
It was
dirty, very dirty and it was allowed to happen. Then we had to listen
to the disingenuous Christian Horner telling us it was all Lewis's
fault.
F1 is not a level and fair playing field.
This from the guy who was told by muppets on this group that because
I didn't support the corrupt and communist BLM, I was a racist.
Just so my position on Lewis is clear..
I think he often dresses like a clown and as such he's a plonker.
I think he's an extremely good driver but I don't go for the goat
concept because there is no way to calculate that.
I do think in many ways he's a nice guy, just a bit naive perhaps.
I respect him but would like to see George or Lando get a shot.
