    Perhaps, , ,

Like the vast majority of people,
Alan is OK to be around in real life.

And, perhaps there is a different agenda at play also.
Perhaps worth (or not) informing readers here.

Local sports car racing is an expensive pursuit,
and the costs are very fixed for a club.
After you pay to rent the track (say $22,000), the Aid Truck,
the ambulance, the tow trucks, and feed and reward
all the worker/volunteers, one has quite the
financial hill to climb. The cost that vary with
the number of entries are relatively small.

We used to get up to 220 entries per race weekend.
Now, with a sadly aging population and in the
aftermath of Covid, our counts are down.
So, less entries, and each driver also enjoys
    less fun and competition.

After our May race, our club lost about $10,000.
At $440 for a two day entry, Just enticing 23
more drivers to enter could have gotten us to
    around 'break even'.
