Several to choose from this weekend.

Max takes driver of the weekend, was so delicious when he lapped Lewis. Gasly keeping Hamilton at bay. Russell had a great drive way way ahead of his senior.. Bottas put on a show.

I give it to Norris, getting a podium spot in that car was very impressive.

I couldn't split 3 today. George, Valtteri, Yuki.
and a mention for KMag and Alex.
All up some really good driving today, especially before they activated the DRS. I suspect we'd see better racing overtakes and 'less easy passes' with no DRS. These new cars don't seem to need it.
Was nice to see Lando get lucky. The team earned that.

Good to see the 'Cap' kicking in a little bit this year. It will be interesting to see it's effect as it tightens. I hope they don't concede to Mercedes pressure.

Disappointment of the day was seeing one driver sulking rather than supporting the team. Those races are what defines a great champion.

Who sulked? I heard the immediate post-race team radio and Hamilton
sounded disappointed, but who wouldn't have been? He ended up in a very difficult position behind a car that was fast enough to stay ahead of
him (but slower than his car) which was itself behind a car fast enough
    to stay ahead.

As I've said (too many times to count) Lewis is a great driver.

If he couldn't get by, then I doubt anyone else in the same car could have.

I've got to give it to Hamilton today.

That was completely bad luck with MagnussenrCono fault to either driver, I thought, and to come back from 19th to 5th when his team thought that
they could perhaps have made 8th (7th after the retirement of Leclerc)
    was really good driving.

As for DotD; Hamilton had a great recovery after being hit sadly marred by that team warning at the end. Russel put up a sterling defense for lap after lap.

As admirable as Hamilton's race was, it just shows that F1 continues to be the have and have nots. Ferrari has finally gotten it's mojo back, but none of the other teams have really closed the gap.

It's fun to note that by far the fastest car between lap 2 and lap
64 was the same guy who thought they should give up and save the
    engine.

Maybe they should have? The life taken out of the engine may have got
him a win down the line rather than a 5th place. Also if that engine
DID loose coolant in the last few laps it may have buggered it.

What a very silly idea that was - almost as mind numbingly daft as the "head-cam" which ignores the
fact that drivers eyes act independently of head position!

I agree, wasting time showing that drone footage when they could have been showing better quality
footage. Just because something can be done doesn't mean that it should. Unfortunately they said
it's going to be used for at least two more Grands Prix this year in a trial to test it's viability.

    Indeed they do...

...but you can still see from watching the "head-cam" video drivers:

turning their heads to look at the upcoming apex

turning their head to each side to keep track of a following car.
In the eighties Murray pointed out a driver (i think it was PKay) who not only turned his head to the corner but tilted his head into it. Contrasting with another driver (i think it was Prost) who barely turned his head at all but turned his eyes obviously.
(Queue, Brian or Trevor for recollection???)
That motivated me to look at the track and there are some very good drivers who barely move their heads. I'm not one of them, my helmet looks where I'm going.
You may like to check it out or not, it's just trivia really.
