Red Bull seems to have a serious power unit reliability issue

    Ferrari has the complete package

Merc doesn't have pace compared to last year(s)

Will be interesting to see what they say about the causes. Max started complaining that the steering was variable and they reported there was
nothing to see in the data.

Perez appears to simply have stopped, again, without warning.

One hopes they can maintain the advantage and not squander it as they
have done sometimes in the past.

Merc doesn't have pace compared to last year(s)

I suspect they will be able to catch up, question is if it will be
quickly enough to make a fight of the championship.

    Cheers

Including tire changes. I don't have the actually numbers but watching, they seemed to be 1/2 second or better than the others.

I also liked the new (I think) graphic showing the turn. It was in the lower right corner of the widescreen and sometimes hard to see. IMHO very helpful for keeping track of where the video feed was.

Mercedes have a fundamental 'flaw' in their 'floor', it sucks.

They have had to sacrifice a lot of performance in order to reduce the porpoising. A fix may be some way off but if they can overcome it they
may well be able to unlock the cars potential and be competitive.

The team alleges that both RBs suffered a fuel-feed problem related to
the fuel pump. One can believe that, or not. Gasly's flameout was
admitted to be from the power unit.

Until PER died I thought that the perpetual whinger VER has actually
pulled out of the race with pique at having been overtaken and not being
    going to win.

    It's designed to suck - downwards !

They certainly seem to slow in the corners more than others, as well as
    not having the raw speed.

They've already said the steering issue was unrelated to the power
issue, and was likely caused by the way the car was dropped from the
    jack at the pit stop.

The new tire design held up and performed as predicted but the sidewall being much stiffer is making the visible parts of the suspension take a lot more load. Didn't seem to upset the drivers so it's looks to pretty much be a wash.
