I think it's most probably the latter. They've really pressed hard on

They needed a clean sheet redesign. The cares are way to long and wide. Sitting in the average grandstand seat these new cars will pretty much look like last years. So the real question is how much downforce in the corners/curves has actually been lost and can a car trying to overtake stay closer longer without obliterating their front tires.
