I wanted Max to win, but I'm not happy because I wanted him to *win*.

This is going to the courts...

    Sporting regs 48.12:-
"Unless the clerk of the course considers the
presence of the safety car is still necessary, once the last lapped car has passed the leader the
safety car will return to the pits at the end of the following lap."

Not the same lap, the *following* lap.

Masi hasnt just been creative where a grey area exists,
he's completely ignored the written rules.

    Shocking.

    But exciting :-)

    He did win.

Every driver at different times in the season receives benefits from the
    way incidents happen.

    This was no different.

When is the last time a race director chose not to follow the standard procedure as laid out clearly in the regulations thereby handing the championship to the driver who would have come second otherwise?

I don't know what discretion is granted him...

    ...and neither do you.

    What mealy mouthed nonsense.

So you have never previously argued that the RD has made a wrong call
by referring to the regulations despite now claiming you are absolutely clueless as to whether he has to apply the regs at all.

What do you think the regs are there for? Rough guidance?

You really know how to confirm what a jerk you can be.
