I'm hoping that both Hamilton and Verstappen reach the chequered
flag...but based on last weekend I'm not optimistic. I wouldn't like to
be a steward (or a marshall!) in Abu Dhabi.

Realistically, it's now a two-way fight for the pool now unless there
are some wildly divergent predictions along with a strange result...

It's go big or go home time! Orange mist descends, and HAM & VER wipe
    each other out, so:

    Pole position: HAM
    P1: BOT
    P2: PER
    P3: NOR

And yes, I was very tempted to do BOT/RAI/PER, because this is the

Yeah he was fastest in that sector by over a tenth but some of that could well be due to the speed

    High five both!

Just seen the quali, and don't mind losing 2 points. May the
best driver win - though fair means.

That pole lap was down to *two* drivers though, not Max alone. Yeah it's >>> a team sport but still..

Yeah, but it was fair dorCOs - Mercedes could have done the same thing.

    Agreed.

    In
any case I think Max gained quite a bit of his time in the last sector
    without a tow.

Yeah he was fastest in that sector by over a tenth but some of that
could well be due to the speed he started the sector at.

    Not in this case.

If a sector begins in the middle of a straight, then the speed you enter
that sector can make a difference.

But in Abu Dhabi, sector 3 begins at the braking zone for turn 8. You
MIGHT be able to claim a hundredth of a second for the speed you arrive
    at that point...

    ...but not a tenth.
