The 30-year-old Sheffield Shield partnership record set by Steve and
Mark Waugh has been broken, with Victorians Will Pucovski and Marcus
Harris setting a new mark of 486 on Sunday.

The Waugh twins' 464-run fifth-wicket partnership posted for NSW against Western Australia at the WACA Ground in December 1990 had been the
record for any partnership in the almost 130-year-old history of the
Shield. But Victorian openers Pucovski and Harris surpassed that total
on Sunday morning on day three of their side's match against South
    Australia at Glenelg.

Anyhow the ALP got back in in Q'laand and One Nation and Palmer got
flogged so it wasn't all bad.
Back to cricket how many do you think the banana benders need?

RU is a tedious, silly & elitist game. Comrade.

Fair enough, I find many games like that but don't bother to comment
about the fact on aus.pol. I find it interesting that you find it
interesting enough to post that the ABs won what you consider 'a
    tedious, silly & elitist game.'

Good game. And the loss serves Qld right for making an ex-Poo captain. A
task which is clearly way beyond him.

Is that your excuse for being flogged by a team that showed their TOTAL superiority over the 4 days

    A
task which is clearly way beyond him.

Maybe you should go back to enjoying the results in games you find
    tedious, silly & elitist.

You have now twice said "flogged."
A flogging is a one way street, a drubbing, a humiliation, etc
NSW won this match by the skin of its teeth. By 1 solitary wicket.
They could quite easily have lost their last wicket before tHe winning
    run was scored.
And would you then have agreed that NSW was "FLOGGED?"
    I doubt it. :)

Of course, but I was replying to Alvey and he hates everything and
anything NSV and the NSW bit won, just rubbing it in.

It was a fantastic game with great play from both sides and an amazing
end. Thought one of the the NSW players wasn't going to run at the end
when he thought it was a four and get run-out.

NSW deserved the win. Not for their on-field efforts, but for the spy genre machinations that put Khawaja into the Qld captaincy. Really first class maneuvering that. His personal performance consisted of dropped catches,
sod all runs and the worst captaincy I've seen since Micheal Clarke
produced the reverse umbrella field in a Test. No doubt about it, Ussie was
    The Difference.
