• Lutho Sipamla

Playing in his second Test, Sipamla has 7 wickets @ 18.11 as I write, nearing the end of SL's first innings at the Wanderers. All those wickets are of # 7 to 11.

Looks like a decent start to one's career whereas it actually says nothing of his promise against top-order batters.

Given how difficult some sides find mopping up the tail to be, someone
who can dispatch tail-enders efficiently can be quite valuable.
Admittedly, one would prefer such a bowler to be of some use earlier
in the innings, but sometimes you have to be grateful for small
    mercies.

    Cheers,

Oh, quite so! In fact, India would love one such bowler. No other team would've been as inefficient in mopping up the tail as we've historically been. It's after we take 6 wickets that the heartache normally commences.

The scorecard I'm looking at on the BBC website shows him as taking
1-27. It looks like it was N|ortje, who finished with 6-56, who
    primarily mopped up the tail.
