• Pucovski or Burns, Aus Test opener

    From Dechucka@24:150/2 to rec.sport.cricket on Fri Nov 13 07:11:50 2020
I'd go for Burns as incumbent but he needs to succeed in the first test.
The selections for the Sydney test will be fascinating 2 spinners and a
green all-rounder maybe. Of course that is a long way off and dependent
on form and the situation of the series obviously

Tough one. JB is 'owed' one by the selectors, WP hasn't done enough
opening, JB hasn't fixed his tech problem of airy drives/prods outside off,
WP is concussion prone, JB is a useful slipper. Can't split 'em. Hopefully Warner will do something stupid before T1 and cop a suspension. Or even
    better, jail.

Jeez Chuckster. Swepson playing in Sinney means that a NSW player would
have to be dropped. This is against CA's playing conditions. Stand by me
Chuck, some excuse will be found for his non-selection. ie "Unusually green pitch", "No-one deserves to be dropped", "He has a slight
    groin/hamstring/back niggle" etc etc

Hoping that the bubble doesn't burst. Which is a good chance given the
    number of pricks in it.

Not a bad summary, I think they should go with B

Maybe but a great batsman to watch IF he's in form

We'll see but they can always drop somebody else from outside the NSV

Nope. It's your Sinney education that's showing.

    Really? Name(s) please!

Chuckie. People reading this may interpret your response as you not being
able to name anyone. Shirley this can't be the case?
