You really do not need to keep stating the bleeding obvious, you are not
the only person with coverage of the race.

ROTFLMAO. Did I mention that he is leading the Championship
by 69 points and will solely hold that record (he's now
tied with MS) for the most F1 wins upon his next victory.

Lucky win. Bottas locking his wheels. Safety car coming out when
he's got a massive lead but just as he approaches the pits to benefit
from a tyre change. Don't know how he gets away with it.

I suppose now he'll go onto to 100 before retiring before VER takes
    Bottas' seat.

Bollards. It is called racecraft. LH just sat back and bided his time looking after his tyres and knew he'd get VB, who uses his tyres more. Either with a lock up as happened or a really fast lap if VB pitted early.

For someone who races, you show a remarkable inability to grasp that
top notch drivers like Hamilton actually enjoy racing and get far more
fun out of winning a close fought race than simply driving around the
circuit well ahead of everybody else.

Just like the way where you have this uncontrollable compulsion to try

Nope. It is not denigration to point out that Hamilton deserves no
brownie points for saying the only possible thing he could say
regardless of whether he actually holds that opinion or not.

"Just what HAM said..." is presented as if it said something of note
about Hamilton, and to quote Jeremy Clarkson, "It just doesn't".

As it happens, I have what I think is a very clever idea that I think
just falls within the rules for my racing class: Formula F (formerly
"Formula Ford", but now "F" for "Ford" and "Fit", as in "Honda Fit").

If my racing goes as planned next year, I will qualify for and compete
at the SCCA National Runoffs at Indianapolis. I know I can qualify for
the event. The 2015 champion is a member of my club and I've raced
against him enough to know that I'm fast enough to have a shot at
    winning a championship.

I'm going to save my modification until the Runoffs themselves begin.

For my club racing... ...yeah, I'll take as equal as we can get. But
when a national championship is possible...

...hen that competition begins, I'll be there to win it, and I'll take
every legal advantage I can get.

In this, I suspect Hamilton is exactly the same: he wants to win races
and championships, so while he may SAY he wants RBR to be equal to the Mercedes, I doubt he really means it.

This is no denigration of Hamilton. I doubt there is a single driver in
F1 who really wants anyone else to have that is the equal of the one he
is driving. EVERYONE wants the best car.

My point is simply that I have a perspective from the actual cockpit of

In this, I suspect Hamilton is exactly the same:

That's a BINGO. Thinks he's 'every bit as intelligent' as well.

As I replied to Martin, it's not even close to true; at least on the
driving front. Every bit as intelligent I'll take.
