  • Hitting a stationary object

    I know they hit the barriers at Monaco from time to time,
    but Carlos really, really stuffed that up!

    Did the polystyrene barriers unsight him do you think?

    That corner doesn't work very well at least for F1. It should be reprofiled a bit, or maybe the '22 rules will fix it.

    It's not great. But it's not as if the corner comes as a surprise to the drivers.

    Yeah, everybody else managed to miss it, including VER at great(!)
    speed. The poly blocks, well that's another story again ....

    Yeah. However there's a lot to take into account. Speed, how many nearby cars (if the driver is
    trying to not lose too many positions), car angle as the track is left, if the car's 'upset'
    already, grip (how many marbles have collected on the apron there) etc. etc. etc.
