Am I correct in understanding, you feel you are
able to "reply" or "post" on the newsgroups
    you have been subscribed to?

And you have added a 'new to you' newsgroup,
that you can read,,,, but not post to?

Who is your isp (Internet Service Provider) for newsgroups.
    (mine is http://newsguy.com/ )

    What reader do you use?
(I am currently using Mozilla Thunderbird,
it is currently functioning, but I am not
    sure it is the best.
    It does have a wikipedia.)

Meanwhile, have you ever tried the Facebook
    groups that cover F1?

Same problem. I keep switching back to the classic version.

When that stops working, I'll just use my phone.

On my phone using Opera browser, Groups has switched to New Groups and I can't switch back to Classic Groups, whether I am in landscape or portrait, desktop or mobile agent. No reply or new topic options are displayed, so read only. Which could be a good thing anywayEfnoEfno
On my tablet using same Opera and desktop agent I can switch between Classic and New groups and am in Classic Groups now. Still have reply and new topic options.
I'm not using newsgroups from a provider. Via web page.
Have submitted via feedback from phone to the Goons.

Maybe try a real USENET newsreader app ? Thunderbird is great...

I'm using Thunderbird and the host is nntp.aioe.org - you can sort it
    from https://www.aioe.org/

I assume you are talking about Google Groups, which, AFAIK, is web based
but has a gateway to Usenet.

Why not try using a "proper" newsreader? Thunderbird works fine (I'm
using it at the moment) for a PC. On my tablet I use Newstap, which is available via the Apple App Store or (I assume) Google.

My NNTP server is Individual.net which costs me 10 euros a year.

Free news hosts are available but might not be so reliable. Some ISPs
    still have an NNTP server.

I agree with this suggestion - it's also precisely my setup.

Thanks for the suggestions, but frankly just completely unnecessary. It should work on the website version properly. On my tablet, on now, I have the settings gear wheel to change versions but not on mobile. I suppose this issue is just typical of the Google tech Goons from the the shambles of the Old Colony. Time to reclaim and sort it out. Meanwhile look after the Bell.
