Add a bit of water and f1 becomes so much more fun.

Which F1 drivers were the best on wet tracks? Shumacher (sp??) was really good as I recall.

Typically, the very best drivers in F1 have been rainmeisters.

Supprised Ham seems to had dropped off, he used to be v good as well
perhaps he should move back to the UK a bit for the practice ;-)

Yes, he always used to be reputed to be 'good in the wet'. Maybe needs
some UK weather as a refresher-course.

It was a lot to do with the car. Hamilton P5, Bottas P9. The Merc really didn't like the conditions
at this track. Far too slippery for it to turn it's tyres on.

Rain on a newly-laid surface lifts the oils out and allows cars like Racing Point that normally
wouldn't do so well due to overheated tyres to shine.

The problem is he is driving the best car on the grid which is so good
at looking after the tyres they can't get enough heat into them in the
    wet.

Perhaps he should drive a less good car.

As he is now reminding us, Vettel is a rainmaster.

Clark's 4 minute 54 second winning margin at Spa in 1963 was a wet race, as was Stewart's 4 minute 3 second win at the Nurburgring in 1968. I think those are the top two winning margins, I can't find a list of winning margins by time, maybe statsmeister Brian Lawrence can chip in?
