    Cannot see how this can be enforced under international law. Otherwise it sets a dangerous precedent

    What about leveraging the international legal arm associated
    with the "criminal warning" + copyright notice that is/was
    quite prominent on DVDs and VHS tapes?

    This is different as the UK governemnt wants to see data that isn't on a phone that has been in the UK. Would you be happy if they looked at your data

    I always laughed at the notion of an INTERPOL office dedicated to 13
    year-old kids copying VHS tapes from their local video store.

    I miss the old days when you could put a TrueCrypt container in Dropbox
    and run it from there. Use the cloud, own your encryption.
