    Hi,
    Hope you get well soon.
I'm still getting over something myself.
I still have a bit of a cough, but other than that I'm back to normal for the most part.

My friend's uncle died. He lived with his mom until he was in his late 50s and then got some shitty apartment. Apparently he got pneumonia and died. He was holding the phone like he was calling for help. My greatest fear is that I will end up like that. Even though i have friends, i'm not so sure they would check up on me. well they did when i had covid the first time. Most of my family is dead now, also.

Anyways, this guy had the biggest porn stash ever. he also would buy any dvd with boobs on the cover. like any clevage, and he would buy it.
we ended up throwing out all his possessions. they weren't worth anything.

So he lived with his mom his entire life, apparently nobody knows where the money went because he was working a full time job the entire time. Maybe his parents took his money. dunno.

There seems to be a variety of different retirement homes.
There are those that provide small apartments. There are the
kind that have small bungalow type homes in a kind of mini-
village setting and nursing staff available on call. There are
the kind that provide individual bedrooms (like an old hospital
converted) with cafeteria, games rooms, etc.. and nursing staff
24/7. I am sure there are other variations.

I'd agree with that. My uncle lived with his mother until she died
stayed in the house until he died.

Cash everywhere. Hundreds of thousands of it. Plus over a mil in the
    bank.

His friends daughter stole the entire estate with a dirty lawyer. We

That was the story of "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel", a retirement hotel
    for english expats.

The cost of living is so cheap that you could rent a small villa with
filtered water and have household help with you in a town for $1000. At
least you could a few years ago. I saw listings in San Miguel De
Allende, a wonderful artisan's town in the center of Mexico. Expats
would move there, and keep their medical care in the US for urgent
issues. They were an hour-and-a-half flight from Dallas/Fort Worth.
