Moving my OT response to CHAT:

Haha, OK pretty sure I know who that is... :-)

    5-0! 5-0! The Nodelist Police!? ;)

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! :-)

There is a British show called "As Time Goes By" where, in one episode, the main male character is trying to have a photo taken in one of those photo booths (either for a passport or a book cover). He is harrassed by a group
of younger people who are apparently from "the continent."

I often picture those kids when the Nodelist Police come up. Well, them
or Bib Fortuna from "Return of the Jedi." :D

Hahahahaha, yeah they're like mosquitoes at the BBQ, can't get rid of
the irritating pests. I probably shouldn't engage them, but sometimes I
    can't help myself... ;-)

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, I was introduced via Netmail to one of those BBQ pests as someone who was highly skilled in programming, engineering, Ham radio, a scientist... really had it shoved down my throat in an introduction how smart the guy was and how he was one to be respected.

Didn't take long to figure out that he's a savant, as in, ZERO personality or social skills. Surprised he was even married, to a human female no less. In every interaction he must be right and shove something down your throat, right down to cherrypicking quote-wars.. usually over something stupid.

Surprisingly he has me in his twit filter and went crying to ZC2 a few times because I hurt his feelings. This is someone much older and likely more educated than I am yet self-implodes when faced with a giant middle finger.

Dutch farts may be ignored but the smell lingers badly.

Yeah, I haven't had any netmails that I remember, but I get the same impression in the echomail traffic. Arrogant, self-righteous, superiority-complex, condescending attitudes towards all "lesser" folk. Especially those who don't give a rat's ass about the "IPv4 crisis" and
the vast improvements offered by the holy grail of IPv6. Hahaha

I'm quite fond of hoisting a giant middle finger. ;-)

    Indeed it does.

Ah, yes. With Dame Judy Dench. Funny show. I still have the first episode saved on our DVR from when it was on the local Public Broadcasting station, along with "Are You Being Served?" "Don't worry about the long sleeves. They'll ride up with wear." "And I am unanimous in that!"

Sorry. Didn't mean to barge in there or anything.

LOL, that show is a classic, especially when Misses Slocomb goes on about
    her cat. :D

If you also watched "Keeping Up Appearances," FYI Dame Patricia Routledge passed away earlier this month. She was 96, I think.
