    Hello everybody!

I upgraded my CPU and I could molest my pc with windows 11 now if I want to. But im thinking about waiting for the next windows 11 release and see how that goes.

Upgraded from what to what? I didn't think people would bother with that kind of component upgrade anymore unless they were building a PC with a new mobo.

What Windows ver are you currently settled with? Myself, I'm with Win 7 on a couple of PC's and XP on a couple of laptops.

1700x ryzen to 5700x ryzen, it also eats 30 watts less of power too!

    I am on Windows 10.

I noticed that in the specs. 95W down to 65W. So, the cpu actually runs that hot? I suppose the tower fans make a lot of noise.

Honestly if I had it to do again I wouldn't bother. I upgraded mine a few months ago and it wiped out my drives. End up having to wipe and reload it three times before I got it right.

The UEFI partitions are a bit tricky so make sure those are stable first. Also make sure you have a GOOD backup/recovery system in place!

I will save my critical files before I do this. But I may wait another 6 months before I make the upgrade.
