I think I've spent more time working on my bbs setup in the last month, than in the last year. Fast echo piled up, and corrupted its settings, and I finally got it re-configured 2 weeks ago.

The 1.3 update went alright, copied the new zips in the misc and text folders, ran the RGLNG update. Updated the OP codes for new user commands, and user profile.

So far looks pretty good. No problems with renemail either.

Has any one had any luck getting doorparty or gamesrv to work with MS-DOS? One looks like all you need is an RLOGIN or TELNET "door". I haven't done any real deep dives yet, just getting the system running again and stable has been keeping me busy.

I was recommended to get telnetdoor, and see if that works.

    Cheers!

I dunno ... my 400 doors are all local. But I do use telnetdoor to rlogon to a crappy mystic setup that only runs MRC, so I don't se why you'd have any problems.

Interesting, I wondered how you set that up. I don't foresee needing to do that anytime soon because I also have a crappy Mystic setup that has various door servers and MRC and all that stuff.

I started running Renegade to get back to the core of the BBS experience, rather than worry about the new shiny stuff.

Yeah, I got tired of waiting for someone to make a "door" of it. So I got this crap setup to run an MPL for MRC and that's ALL it does ....

Tried telnetdoor, but it is a win32 application, and won't run in my dos16 environment.

Off to keep looking for an MSDOS rlogin or telnet.

    Cheers!

NFU.EXE ... oh, you're not using NETFOSS .... yeah, you might be outta luck. One of the reasons I switched to it from NetSerial, that and all my FD nodes were getting killed from Bots.

I recently visited a new RG board with a working BBSlink. I don't know how he did it and I did ask him if he would share his batch file but without a response. I sort of came here to ask if anyone else has had any luck. I think there is documentation to do BBSlink with Telegard and maybe that's how he did it.

Wouldn't you just use R&M's telnet door and login that way?
