Hello All,

today I myself ran into the infamous "array index out of bounds (-1)" problem and thus could locate and fix the issue. As this was really pressing and also the wrong default zone (always 2 after setup) was bothering people, I shorthanded decided to provide an update rather than doing what I had originally
planned.

I would also like to remind everbody that there is a new and improved message list view since version 407 which is enabled by setting the message pane to "right" and having the list small enough. See the website for a screenshot.

Hope this helps the folks who had issues.

Checked this (thanks for the screenshot) and it seems, that this exception pops up when you change the display encoding from automatic to something else (e.g., russian) while the current area is empty.

I think I have corrected this now. You can try

Seems the tosser hangs while importing f77c7e00.pkt (see window title). Have not seen this before.

The way the WP tosser works, it first completely reads the messages from all available packets into memory before starting to write any messages to disk. This is for performance reasons. However, if the tosser hangs while reading a packet, it never writes anything to the disk and also cannot respond to the abort button. This seems to happen in your case.

I suspect it is always the same packet causing this problem for you. My first suggestion is to move the problematic packet fil(e) (here f77c7e00.pkt) before selecting Fidonet->Tosser->Import (menuitem) from the inbound directory (Fidonet->Show Inbound Directory in Explorer) to a different location. After that, the import should finish.

*Please keep the problematic file(s) so I can later check it/them to find the problem*.
