    I run a good 100+ rare games you won't find on most PC boards from the Commodore era and they hardly get played. I just got a load of Infocom text adventures now set up also. Now with loads and loads of PC boards up. I am sure it will be hard to attract players. What we need is more users and less SysOps. :)

    I have a couple that I like to play. I'll play Galactic Dynasty and Trade Wars from time to time. Also enjoy playing Dominos or some of the old "board game" type doors. Just depends on my mood :)

    I have regular players for my Yankee Trader doors. Someone was also
    playing LORD II but I have not seen them on lately.

    I have about 4 or 5 people who spend every waking hour playing them.. I even increased their daily time limit to like 3 or 4 hours so they could play.. A lot of the games are just fodder, but the big ones BRE, TW2002, LORD are still going strong at least on my Door Server..

    How did you get Yankee Trader to run? I am able to get it to almost run, but it crashes shortly after the user enters the door. Seems like maybe it's super sensitive to CPU timing or something?

    YT is notoriously bad with FOSSIL drivers. Has to do with how the author wrote the I/O routines. For that reason I use DOSBox-X to run it on my board. Running it by itself will almost always lead to the crashes you described. I wrote a lengthy write-up about my setup here:

    i have seen this before and in my experience it was 1 or 2 people using multiple accounts in doorgames. on tradewars they would play using a program that ran scripts. they could play it for a very long time.

    I actually did not have any problems getting it to run just by following
    the install instructions. One caveat... the system I am running it on is a
    DOS native BBS. I have never tried it with Synchronet/linux.

    Oh, and I am using a DORINFO drop file with it. I don't think it works
    well with DOOR.SYS (if at all).

    I found the howto which mentions DOSBox-X and got this to work as well. Now just to figure out how to play this thing...hehe

    It's been one of my top doors for the last two years, crash-free!
