    right, for all those 'unix' users out there

    want a list of fully compliant UNIX systems?

    AIX, HP-UX, macOS, Xinuos, z/OS (see "Single UNIX Specification", wikipedia)

    since i suspect there aren't users of 4 of those on dovenet (the most likely being perhaps AIX), might i suggest this echo be used only for macOS?

    just kidding, that'd be stupid wouldn't it?

    Well..... the "subject line" of the posts is Rocky Linux, but the latter
    part of the conversation had drifted into discussion of Suse, "Open"
    distros, Mandriva, and more. The poster that I replied to specifically widened the topic to "Linux distros".

    Perhaps you should go back and review the previous messages.

    What about Solaris? I use that, AIX, HPUX, and MacOS.

    Btw, ever notice that MacOS is Tacos with an M?

    being a former hp-ux junior admin inh the public sector, i believe that went the way of the integrity Superdome II which was a beast. Thw Superdome X is a decent server for Red Hat.

    z/os is a bear to admin, too thats why a lot of companies thatr use it have the 390x port of linux running in its own LPAR.
