If you want to play games then you should buy a console and the best one is play station 5. If not for gaming then stick to your pc. A have both and my play station is for triple-A games and especially Sony exclusives. The pc is for the world and online games. I play league of legends on my pc and I wish that online gaming will be available on consoles because I hate that I always have to buy different items for my pc. 2 weeks ago my monitor broke and I had to buy a new one. After some searching, I found a website https://10roar.com/ that had reviews on the best monitors. I chose the best option and it arrived today. I can easily say that this monitor is really good and that it will last.

"The pc is for the world and online games" - Not sure what you mean. There are plenty of good PC games that don't need to be played online (as well as good online games). I've actually tended to be more of a PC gamer than a console gamer, and there are lots of good games for PC.

I was pretty sure online gaming is a thing on consoles? I thought all modern consoles these days connectd to the internet, and I thought there were multiplayer online games for consoles?

what computer should I use for book Basic computer Games.
    C64, CPET, VIC-20

Is there a specific book you're reading or you just want to dink around in Basic?
The C64 is what I grew up with. It was extrememly popular and therefore you'll get the most support there.
However the basic is kind of crap actually. Almost anything you want to do with the hardware requires a complex series of peeks and pokes whereas other systems (Apple II, TI-99/4a (extended basic), even TRS-80) had basic commands like graphics, plot, sound, joystick, etc...

The basic on the C128 has a lot more commands so there's that.

I assume the book "BASIC Computer Games" by Ahl.

There were a few variations of the book for the TRS-80, C64, etc. But if it's just the basic (he, he) one, then any BASIC will do since the games were intended to be used for (shall we call it) Common BASIC, which just about every computer at that time supported.

However the basic is kind of crap actually. Almost anything you want
to do with the hardware requires a complex series of peeks and pokes whereas other systems (Apple II, TI-99/4a (extended basic), even

Ya, that had to do with many things, but mostly cost. So add graphic/sound commands to BASIC on the C-64, for example, they'd have to go back to Microsoft and get a new license, which they didn't want to do for cost purposes. Or have their programmers spent a great deal of time, which they didn't want to do, again for cost purposes.

The programs in "BASIC Computer Games" will run on just about any implementation of BASIC from the Altair through GW-BASIC on the IBM-PC.

The plus/4 has all those commands as well...

You can get Simon's Basic for the C64, I had alot of fun with that as a kid. It extends the C64's basic command set.
